Flown out of the war zone safely

At the beginning of October 2023, I spent 8 days in Israel with my girlfriend. It was a round trip and we visited many holy sites. On October 7, the trip to the Dead Sea was unfortunately canceled due to the declaration of war and we had to stay in the hotel. Our group of 20 people were worried and anxious about the flight home. Many flights had been canceled. My friend was a firm believer and announced: “We’re flying home tomorrow.” Contrary to my feelings, I agreed with this statement and said so. We found out about the worries at home via WhatsApp. We spent Sunday morning by the hotel swimming pool and listened to the Glorylife lifestream, which included prayers for Israel. The helicopters of the Israeli army could be heard in the background. At around 1:30 pm we were picked up by a cab and driven to the airport. We were on the plane at around 6:30 pm and arrived safely in Berlin. For some of the others in our travel group, the journey home was extremely difficult. S.T.
