I had a business appointment and only 20 minutes to get there, even though my GPS said it would take 30 minutes. I knew the highway well, and you can usually get there quickly. What I didn’t know was that there was construction on the road and some sections were closed. According to my GPS, this would have added about 10 minutes to my trip. Traffic was slow, and everyone had to drive more slowly.
As I drove, I talked to my heavenly Father and was distracted from all my worries and thoughts that I might be late. Suddenly, I found myself on an exit I didn’t know at all—I realized that I had been transported there directly. There I saw a statue and drove straight toward it. It was a statue of Jesus. I stopped briefly to think about where to go next. Then I discovered a path, which I followed—and it led directly to my destination. I looked at my watch and could hardly believe it: I arrived right on time.
In my mind, I saw an image like a map showing a path. The map was folded twice, so the path on it was greatly shortened. In retrospect, I thought: Normally, I would have had to drive past several places, but I didn’t. I was simply transported there – thank you, Dad, thank you! S.H.
