Led by the Holy Spirit: An 86-Year-Old and a 90-Year-Old Led to Jesus

On May 1, while cycling through downtown Wendlingen, I passed the bus station, where I saw an elderly couple sitting on a bench who looked “tired” to me. Then the Holy Spirit suddenly said to me, “If this were the last day of their lives and they didn’t know Jesus, they would be lost forever.” He literally urged me to approach them, which I did immediately. During a brief conversation, I learned that they were siblings—she was 90 years old and a widow, and he was her brother, 86 years old. They are from Romania and have lived here for 50 years. I began to tell them about Jesus. I also shared my personal testimony with them and presented them with the good news of the Gospel. When I asked if they wanted to accept Jesus into their lives, they both replied spontaneously, “Yes!” So I led them both in a prayer of salvation, and I now know that they are saved for eternity. It’s likely that, through me, the very answer to prayer that people had been praying for so long finally came. God is never late. J.S.
