An intelligent girl was severely bullied at school. Other children threw themselves on the floor and then accused this girl. Although she was already in 7th grade, she was very shy and unable to defend herself against the accusations. Even the teachers believed the strong and loud students.
Eventually, she had to leave the school and was transferred to a special needs school. In the library of the special needs school, I often talked to the girl and it was clear to me that she didn’t belong there. She told me that she simply couldn’t forgive the other students for what they had done to her. I was able to tell her about forgiveness and that she should forgive them in her own interest, in order to be free. Week after week passed, and we only saw each other 3-4 times in the six months. The conversations about God were intense, and my prayers in the background were strong.
Before the holidays, she told me that she had looked at two schools and would now be going to a boarding school to get her high school diploma. We hugged and I encouraged her that she could always walk with God. It is so beautiful to see what forgiveness does and how it set this girl free. Thank you, Jesus. M.S.
