Dear Pastor Georg Karl, dear Glory Life friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have been a student at the Glory Life School for a little over two weeks now. On the first Thursday evening in the “class”, God’s Father-love for the lost was specifically released at the beginning. The following Saturday, my husband and I were shopping at the supermarket. It was very busy. As we were leaving, I noticed a married couple. The woman was walking bent over with a rollator. Her husband was walking a few steps ahead of her – also bent over. I looked at my husband and said: Do you see it too? He told me that God had already shown him the man when they entered the store. For me, the woman’s obvious painful condition literally went straight to my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I went up to the woman and asked her if she was in pain. She said yes and pointed to her knee. I told her that I had had good experiences several times praying for a knee. She welcomed my offer to pray and continued walking. Perhaps she thought that after the encounter in the supermarket I would pray for her privately – or light a candle for her in a church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I quickly followed her and explained that I would like to pray for her right here and now. She was so open! I quickly explained afterward that I believe in Jesus – so that she would not think I was a quack or faith healer without Christ. I had a strong feeling that her pain was so great – and that she wanted help – no matter where it came from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the subsequent prayer with the laying on of hands, it became clear to me again how wonderful it is to pray for the sick, because while praying you can also briefly explain that Jesus died for our sins and our sickness and what Easter means. I am simply glad to still be able to pass on the basics and do good for people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lady said that she had felt a stream of heat and that something in her knee was different than before. She could not describe exactly what it was. Unfortunately, the man was then too far away. But my husband was so encouraged by the encounter that afterward, in the car, we also prayed for the man, that through the change in his wife’s knee he would also have an experience of healing from Jesus. I see this encounter as a direct result of the release from the previous Thursday. I was able to approach the lady with the Father’s heart of compassion and encounter the sickness and pain in the love and authority of Christ.
Yes, it took some overcoming – you step out of your comfort zone – but it can be done. And the result brought joy! All glory to Jesus.
